In a motion moved by Hon. John Mwangi Kamau, MCA, Nginda Ward and Chair of the Health Committee, Members considered a report of the committee on the Murang'a County Ambulances Policy and recommended a raft of amendments to the ambulances policy. During their submissions, the Members noted that the policy lacked desired ourcomes, roadmap plan on management and maintenance of ambulances clarity on the number of personnel to be assigned to the call centre and the location of the call centre as well as modalities of engaging key stakeholders in the management and operations of county ambulances.
They called upon the County Executive Committee Member in charge of Health will revert the policy with amendments for consideration by the County Assembly through the Committee on Health Services.
