HOUSE APPROVES THE SELECTION PANEL FOR COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT OF THE COUNTY SECRETARY AND THE COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD

The House Committee on Appointments conducted approval hearings of the nominees for appointment as members of the Selection Panel for recruitment of the County Secretary and the County Public Service Board. This was done pursuant to Section 44 and 58A of the County Governments Act, 2012 (Rev. 2020) and Section 7 and 8 of the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act No 5 of 2017.

Subsequently, during a sitting of the House held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, the County Assembly APPROVED the nomination of the following persons for appointment by His Excellency the Governor to the selection panel for competitive recruitment of the County Secretary and the County Public Service Board.

1. Mr. Francis Maynyeki - Chairperson

2. Mr. Paul Muturi Njuguna - Private Sector

3. Ms. Ruth Waithira Muiruri - Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Member of LSK

4. Ms. Catherine Wangari Kamau - Accountant and Member of ICPAK

5. Mr. Dominic Gitau Ndung’u - Trade Union and KUPPET

2. Mr. Chaxton Kamami - Private Sector
